Job summary

The Solar House Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks a drafting professional to design and detail solar PV systems.

You will produce engineering drawings and layouts, update plans with revisions, and maintain version-controlled documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating with procurement and site teams, interpreting drawings and specs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting procedures.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical drawing and layout design.
• Familiarity with solar design software such as PVsyst or Helioscope is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed engineering drawings and layouts for solar PV installations.
• Update drawings based on design revisions, site adjustments, or feedback.
• Maintain drawing documentation, filing systems, and version control.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation for project completion.
• Collaborate with the procurement and site teams to ensure constructability of designs.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site survey data.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting procedures and project documentation quality.
