Job summary

GienTech is seeking a Test Engineer specializing in performance testing to strengthen our SQA capabilities in the BFSI domain. You will design and maintain automated frameworks for end-to-end functional regression testing and support non-functional testing activities.

The ideal candidate has 1-5 years in SQA within BFSI, with 1-3 years in automated framework design, a computer science degree, and strong English communication skills. Knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and DLLs is advantageous.

Qualifications

Job Scope Overview:

We are seeking for a Test Engineer who specializes in providing SQA (software quality assurance) services in the BFSI (banking, finance, securities and insurance) domain to join our team. The role requires software testing practice foundation, particularly supporting the implementation and maintenance of automated framework for end-to-end functional regression testing cycles, and execution of non-functional tests.

Key Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the full-stack automated frameworks in support of functional regression testing, using script or model-based approaches with a high degree of reusability, leveraging on enterprise or open-source tool-suites, APIs (application programming interfaces), SDKs (software development kits), function libraries (DLLs) and any associated utilities. Secondarily responsible for supporting execution of respective non-functional test types, including load and performance testing, failover and recovery testing, etc., of varying scope, scale, complexity and duration.

• Work with client-side stakeholders including Developers and Business Analysts to clarify and establish expected application workflows and associated behaviours, technical dependencies and configurations, to facilitate test automation.
• Work with test design team to obtain domain knowledge transfer, and test cases selection to establish the baseline automated functional regression test suite to provision the required test coverage and productivity, and also support automating the test data preparation.
• Assist test team leader on effort estimation required for test automation related activities in addition to assigned scope, by providing relevant and accurate input in support of service delivery.
• Participate in the on-going effort of implementing best practices and innovation initiatives for the Testing Centre-of-Excellence (TCoE).

Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:

• At least 1-5 years of work experience in providing SQA in the BFSI industry, holding respective test automation roles in support of functional regression and non-functional related testing, with minimally 1-3 years in automated test framework design, implementation and maintenance.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree with major in Computer Science or equivalent field, and preferably certified in software test automation or automation tools, and familiar with SDLC (software development lifecycle), including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
• Passionate in technologies, receptive and keenness in learning, meticulous, analytical and competent in problem-solving, with good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English language, including for both written and verbal communications. Possess clear thought process and able to articulate clearly.
