Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to design, develop and execute automated test scripts for banking applications. You will ensure quality, reliability, security and performance by automating functional, regression, API and integration testing.

You will analyze requirements, develop frameworks, execute tests across SIT, UAT and regression environments, and validate data via SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 3–8+ years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation scripts.
• Experience with at least one major automation framework such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or UFT.
• Experience with API testing and database validation.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration and system testing.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Banking or financial-services experience is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsible for designing, developing and executing automated test scripts for banking applications and systems. The role ensures application quality, reliability, security and performance by automating functional, regression, API and integration testing across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for banking applications.


• Analyse business and technical requirements and identify suitable automation opportunities.


• Develop automation frameworks and reusable test components.


• Execute automated testing across SIT, regression, integration and UAT environments.


• Automate end-to-end banking business processes and critical customer journeys.


• Perform API automation testing for banking services and integrations.


• Validate data across applications, APIs and databases using SQL.


• Identify, document, track and retest software defects.


• Analyse automation failures and determine whether failures are caused by application defects, test scripts, environments or test data.


• Maintain automated regression test suites following application enhancements and releases.


• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.


• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Manual Testers, Test Leads and Project Managers.


• Participate in test planning, test case reviews and defect triage meetings.


• Prepare automation test reports and provide test execution results to stakeholders.


• Ensure adequate test coverage for critical banking functionality.


• Support performance and non-functional testing where required.


• Maintain test data and test environments required for automation.


• Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools and testing processes.
