GBM ELECTRONICS (M) SDN. BHD. in Chemor, Perak invites an experienced SMT Technician to join our PCB manufacturing team.

You will operate and maintain SMT equipment, perform setup and troubleshooting, and help ensure high-quality PCB assemblies for our consumer electronics products. This full-time role requires a Diploma or certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and the ability to work day and night shifts every two weeks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on SMT experience or similar role.
• Proficient with SMT equipment and PCB assemblies.
• Able to read technical drawings, schematics, and production documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented with effective communication.

About the role

GBM ELECTRONICS (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced SMT Technician to join our dynamic team in our Chemor Perak facility. As an SMT Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and production of our high‑quality electronic products. This is a full‑time position, offering competitive remuneration and benefits.

What you’ll be doing

• Operate and maintain Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment, ensuring optimal performance and productivity
• Perform setup, programming, and troubleshooting of SMT machines
• Monitor and maintain the quality of printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies
• Identify and resolve production issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve processes
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the SMT process
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 1 years of hands‑on experience as an SMT Technician or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of SMT equipment, including pick‑and‑place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection tools
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and production documents
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Able to cooperate with day and night shifts every 2 weeks
• Diploma or certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
