Job summary

ThreeStep Advisory in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of SME clients from start to finish, keeping their books accurate and on time while explaining numbers to owners.

You’ll join a firm focused on SME clients and owner-facing advisory, with structured training that includes AI tools, and you’ll grow into advisory work while supporting multiple deadlines in a small, close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Handle full set of accounts for a portfolio of SME clients across different industries.
• Prepare monthly and annual management accounts, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review entries and work prepared by junior team members.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for audit, tax, and statutory submissions.
• Communicate with clients on queries, missing documents, and deadlines.
• Support SST, payroll, and other compliance matters where required.
• Help improve our workflows as we build smarter systems and use AI tools.
