Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts for SME clients, prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and financial statements, and ensure Malaysian statutory and tax compliance.

The role involves liaising with clients and auditors, year-end closing, tax preparation, e-Invoicing, and reviewing junior accountants’ work. Mandarin proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax and statutory requirements.
• Experience with SQL and AutoCount; e-Invoicing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts for SME clients.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act 2016, and LHDN.
• Liaise with clients, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
• Assist in year-end closing and audit schedules.
• Review work by junior accountants and provide guidance.
• Monitor deadlines and tax filings.
• Support e-Invoicing implementation and digital accounting systems.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues for clients.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
