Job summary

Seasky Advisory, a growing accounting and business advisory firm in Malaysia, invites applications for a Finance Executive in Bandar Baru Bangi. This in-person role offers more than routine bookkeeping and invites you to work directly with SME owners to understand their business and provide practical accounting advice.

You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare full sets of accounts and monthly management reports, assist with month-end and year-end close, and liaise with clients on

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates with the right attitude are encouraged to apply.
• Experience handling full sets of accounts is an advantage.
• Familiar with Malaysian accounting, tax and e-Invoice is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, organised and responsible.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willing to learn and take ownership of assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for multiple SME clients.
• Prepare full sets of accounts and monthly management accounts.
• Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documents for audit and tax purposes.
• Handle e-Invoice and other accounting-related compliance matters.
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain accounting documents and clarify accounting and financial information.
• Monitor outstanding items and proactively follow up with clients.
• Assist clients with accounting system setup, implementation and accounting-related matters.
• Identify accounting issues and assist in resolving them.
• Provide basic financial and business advisory support to clients.
• Maintain accurate, complete and properly organised accounting records.
• Support the team in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting, finance and advisory assignments as required.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

More Than Just Bookkeeping

This is not a pure data-entry or routine bookkeeping role. At Seasky Advisory, you will have the opportunity to work closely with business owners and different types of SME businesses.
