Job summary

Hitachi Asia (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Software Engineer with 3–5 years in software development to become a product expert in Smart Manufacturing solutions and provide technical presales support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 3 to 5 years working experience in software development.
• Knowledge of .Net, Java, Python and/or mobile app development languages.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Nice to have familiarity with MES, CMMS, IoT and Smart Manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Acquire technical skillsets and become a product expert in Smart Manufacturing solutions.
• Provide technical presales support to the sales team.
• Interpret customer requirements, conduct site studies and propose solutions.
• Develop system specifications and design, development, testing, debugging, and commissioning of software systems.
• Oversee software project implementation and guide software engineers.
• Collaborate with business units and partners to deliver total solutions.
• Provide product and technical training to peers, sales team, partners, and customers.
