Job summary

Hitachi Asia (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a software engineer with 3–5 years of experience to deliver smart manufacturing solutions in Kuala Lumpur.

You will develop software, provide technical presales support, analyze customer requirements, conduct site studies, and design, test and commission systems. You will also lead software projects and train peers, sales teams, partners and customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3–5 years working experience in software development.
• Proficiency in .NET, Java, Python and/or mobile development languages.
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Knowledge in MES, CMMS, IoT and Smart Manufacturing Solutions is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI tools (QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Proficient in IT process and application consultancy.
• Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovation.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and be a solution-driven person.

Responsibilities

• Acquire technical skillsets and become a product expert in Smart Manufacturing solutions.
• Provide technical presales support to the sales team.
• Manage and interpret customer requirements; conduct site studies and propose solutions.
• Develop system specifications.
• Design, develop, test, debug and commission software systems.
• Oversee software project implementation.
• Lead and guide software engineers in development.
• Collaborate with business units and partners to deliver a total solution.
• Provide product and technical training to peers, sales teams, partners and customers.
