Job summary

Maxcode is seeking a skilled Welder to join our production team in Penang. The successful candidate will perform welding and fabrication in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include welding with MIG, TIG or ARC processes, reading drawings, cutting, grinding, fitting and assembly, and ensuring weld quality. Reading symbols and measurements is essential, along with safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of welding or metal fabrication experience.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG and ARC welding processes.
• Experience welding mild and stainless steel is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Able to use measuring instruments and fabrication tools.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Responsible, disciplined and willing to learn.
• Able to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding works using MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding processes.
• Carry out welding and fabrication of mild steel and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and measurements.
• Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting and assembly works.
• Ensure welding quality meets the required specifications and standards.
• Inspect finished products to ensure proper dimensions and weld quality.
• Operate welding machines and fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping at the workstation.
• Follow production schedules and complete assigned tasks within the required timeline.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
