Job summary

NCL ENERGY SDN BHD is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee ICT, fiber optic, cabling and ELV installations on data center projects in Malaysia. You will supervise on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, preparing daily reports, and resolving site issues to avoid delays. CIDB Green Card holder and related qualifications required; overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site supervision/management, preferably ICT, fiber optic, ELV, or data center projects.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.

Job description

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site ICT infrastructure, fiber optic, structured cabling, and ELV installation works for data center projects. The role ensures all works are carried out safely, completed on time, and meet project specifications and quality requirements.

Job Description:

1. Site Supervision & Coordination

Supervise daily site activities for ICT, fiber optic, structured cabling, and ELV installation works.

Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, technicians, and installers to ensure smooth project execution.

Plan and allocate manpower, tools, materials, and equipment required for site activities.

Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and other trades.

2. Quality Control & Testing

Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.

Verify completed installations before testing and commissioning.

Coordinate testing, certification, and commissioning activities.

3. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all site personnel comply with project safety requirements and company policies.

Attend toolbox briefings and monitor safe work practices.

Report site incidents, hazards, and corrective actions.

4. Progress Monitoring & Material Management

Monitor and track project progress against the approved schedule.

Prepare daily site reports and progress updates.

Report manpower deployment, completed works, site issues, and project risks to management.

Assist in identifying and resolving site-related issues to avoid project delays.

Monitor material deliveries and ensure sufficient materials are available for site activities.

Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, cables, and equipment.

Requirement:

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, IT, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site supervision/management, preferably in ICT, fiber optic, structured cabling, ELV, or data center projects.

Experience supervising site workers, technicians, and subcontractors.

Able to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.

Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Able to work overtime and weekends when required by project schedule.
