Job summary

GlobalComm Solutions Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior ELV Engineer/Team Lead to spearhead the ELV project team and manage execution from site coordination through testing, commissioning and handover.

You will lead engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors, plan manpower and activities, review drawings, and ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery across multiple ELV installations in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication, IT or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of ELV project experience, with leadership exposure preferred.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of ELV installation, testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors for ELV project execution.
• Plan manpower, site activities and work priorities to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, BQ and technical requirements before execution.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot site/system issues.
• Ensure installation quality and compliance with drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
• Manage testing, commissioning, inspections, defect rectification and handover.
• Monitor project progress and highlight risks early.
• Assist in preparation of method statements, technical submissions, as-built drawings and handover documentation.
• Support project managers on variation works, site instructions and technical evaluation where required.

About you

• Strong hands-on knowledge of ELV installation, testing and troubleshooting
• Able to read and understand technical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Good coordination and problem-solving skills
• Able to lead people and manage subcontractors independently
• Comfortable working at project sites and handling multiple priorities
• Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required
