Job summary

Teck Guan Group is seeking a Site Supervisor (Construction) to supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at project sites in Tawau, Sabah. The role requires reading drawings, measuring sites, and ensuring works align with approved plans and schedules.

The ideal candidate should have 2–5 years of relevant supervision experience, a qualification in Civil Engineering or related field, and be able to read drawings with basic AutoCAD knowledge.

Job description

We are looking for a Site Supervisor (Construction) to supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at project sites.

The successful candidate should be practical, hands-on and able to read construction drawings, conduct site measurements and supervise contractors/workers to ensure work is carried out according to the approved plans, specifications and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at project sites.

Read and interpret architectural, structural and construction drawings.

Conduct site measurements and quantity measurements.

Check actual site conditions, dimensions and completed works against drawings.

Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors and workers.

Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications and instructions.

Monitor workmanship, materials and work quality.

Monitor daily work progress and report updates to the Project Engineer/Project Executive.

Identify site issues and report them promptly for further action.

Take measurements and assist with checking work quantities for contractor claims and quotations.

Coordinate delivery and usage of construction materials at site.

Ensure the work area is properly organized and basic safety requirements are followed.

Maintain site records, measurements, photographs and progress updates.

Perform other site-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Certificate, Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction or related fields is preferred.

Preferably 2-5 years of relevant construction/site supervision experience.

Must be able to read and understand construction drawings.

Must be able to conduct site measurements and quantity measurements.

Experience supervising contractors and workers.

Good understanding of construction materials, methods and site practices.

Basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsible, practical and willing to work at project sites.

Possess a valid driving licence.
