Job summary

TCS Group is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee direct labour and subcontractors on high-rise construction projects in Malaysia. You will ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental practices, inspect works per the plan, and report progress to the Project/ Site Engineer.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Construction Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in high-rise building construction.
• Knowledge of legal requirements and HSE practices.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor direct labour and subcontractors to meet schedule.
• Ensure housekeeping and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental practices.
• Inspect works per the Inspection and Test Plan for conformance.
• Control work until deficiencies are resolved and report progress to site Engineer.
• Coordinate manpower, plant, equipment and materials for timely completion.
• Assist in meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities.

Job description

To supervise, monitor and control direct labour and subcontractors' work and ensure completion of respective facilities in his discipline within planned schedule.

To ensure the workers and subcontractors adhere to good housekeeping and implement quality, environmental and safety and health practices.

To undertake inspection of works at various stages as per Inspection and Test Plan to ensure conformance to specification and construction drawings.

To control any further work until the deficiency / problem has been satisfactorily resolved.

To report on the construction progress and factors adversely affecting the project to the Project / Site Engineer.

To arrange control and monitor manpower, plant, equipment and material usage for the timely completion of the work.

To implement cost control measures while carrying out project.

To review the accuracy of drawings, charts and forms in compliance with local authorities’ requirements.

To assist in carrying out inspections, attending meetings with clients, Consultants, sub-contractors and authorities.

To undertake any all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

Diploma/Degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in the construction of high-rise buildings in the construction-related field.

Knowledge in legal requirements and good environmental, safety and health practices.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsible and able to work under pressure and independently.
