Job summary

Best Change Renovation Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to lead on-site construction activities, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will liaise between management, subcontractors and the construction team, guiding daily operations and performance.

The role requires at least 3 years in site supervision, strong knowledge of local building codes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes and safety regulations in Malaysia
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and quality standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate teams and manage stakeholder relationships
• Solid understanding of project management, scheduling and budget control
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
• Experience with construction management software or digital tools is desirable
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
• Commitment to workplace health and safety with relevant regulations
• Problem-solving mindset with sound decision-making under pressure

About the role

Best Change Renovation Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to join our construction team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position where you will take a leadership role on site, overseeing day-to-day construction operations and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and timeliness. As Site Supervisor, you will be the key liaison between management, subcontractors and the construction team, making this a strategic position essential to our project success and company reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring work progresses according to project schedules and specifications
• Monitor quality standards of work being carried out and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and client requirements
• Manage site safety protocols, conduct daily safety briefings and ensure all personnel adhere to health and safety regulations
• Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers and external parties to ensure smooth workflow and timely material delivery
• Document daily site activities, progress reports and maintain accurate records of labour, materials and equipment usage
• Identify and resolve on-site issues and challenges promptly to minimise delays and cost overruns
• Train and mentor construction workers, helping to develop their skills and ensuring consistent performance standards
• Ensure the site remains organised, clean and safe, with proper housekeeping and waste management practices in place
• Report to project management on progress, budgets, challenges and any changes required to project scope

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes and safety regulations applicable in Malaysia
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Sound understanding of project management principles, scheduling and budget control
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
• Experience with construction management software or digital tools is highly desirable
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various project sites as required
• A commitment to workplace health and safety with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
