Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer Assistant to help manage and monitor boiler project progress. You will coordinate schedules, track deliverables, and liaise with Design, Procurement, Factory, Services, Sales and Accounts to ensure smooth site execution.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic), ability to read electrical diagrams and P&ID drawings, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and willing to travel to project sites in Selangor and beyond.

Qualifications

• Must possess minimum Diploma in Engineering (Preferably: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic).
• Able to read and understand the electrical diagram and P&ID drawing.
• Required to have hands on mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Experience in handling Boiler projects is an advantage.
• Willing to travel to project sites (within and outside of Selangor).

Responsibilities

• Track project progress, schedules, deliverables and updates to Project Engineer and HOD.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports based on assigned project.
• Monitor, negotiate and coordinate with suppliers/contractors on site activities.
• Assist Project Engineer in managing and planning the project and resolve issues at site.
• Liaise with internal departments (Design, Procurement, Factory, Services, Sales, Account) to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor progress including Engineering Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation and T&C; report to HOD and client.
• Assist to prepare/verify work orders, purchase orders and progress claims.
• Present progress reports and discuss problems with HOD on behalf of Project Engineer.

• Responsible for keeping track of the project’s progress, including schedules, deliverables, and updates to the Project Engineer and HOD
• Responsible to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports based on assigned project.
• Responsible to monitoring, negotiating and coordinating with suppliers/contractors involved in the site activities.
• Assist the Project Engineer in managing and planning the project. This includes discussing and resolving any issues that arise at the project site.
• Assist the Project Engineer monitor the progress of the project and liaise with internal department such as Design, Procurement, Factory, Services, Sales and Account to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist the Project Engineer to monitor, meeting, update deliverable schedule and work progress e.g. Engineering Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, and T&C to HOD and client
• Responsible to assist Project Engineer prepare, check or verify work order, purchase order and progress claim of suppliers/contractors, including progress claim to client.
• Present progress reports and discuss any problems or issues with HOD on behalf of Project Engineer.
