Job summary

Power-Gen Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd invites applications for Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer roles to support engineering and construction projects. Fresh graduates will receive guidance, while experienced candidates will lead site execution, coordination and teams.

Positions cover M&E, civil, electrical and mechanical works at project sites with exposure to local and international clients. Strong reading of drawings and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Relevant project engineering, site supervision or construction experience is an advantage; candidates with around 5 years or more may qualify for the Senior Project Engineer position.
• Experience in fire protection and Hydro Power Plant projects will be added advantage.
• Interest in site-based engineering and project coordination, with the ability to read engineering drawings and project documents or willingness to learn.
• Basic Microsoft Office and Excel skills; AutoCAD knowledge and experience in power, infrastructure, fire protection or hydropower projects are advantages.
• Good problem-solving, communication and organizational skills; able to work independently and in a team, and willing to travel or work at project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of M&E, civil, electrical and mechanical works at project sites, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements and applicable standards.
• Monitor site progress, schedules, quality, resources and daily activities to support timely project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams throughout planning, bidding, construction, testing, handover and completion.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documents; identify site issues and support practical, timely solutions.
• Prepare progress reports and site documentation and work with site teams. Experienced candidates may guide junior personnel and perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Power-Gen Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, established in 2003, delivers power generation, transmission and distribution solutions, including design, fabrication, installation and maintenance. We serve local and international clients and are registered with NIOSH, PKK, the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, CIDB G7 and TNB.

We are hiring Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to support engineering and construction projects. Fresh graduates will receive guidance and hands‑on exposure, while experienced candidates will take greater ownership of site execution, coordination and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
