Job summary

Mys Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer in Malaysia to own project execution from planning to completion. You will coordinate across designers, contractors and subcontractors, manage budgets, schedules and safety requirements.

You will drive project performance, resolve site challenges and ensure seamless coordination with all stakeholders, delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in project engineering.
• Experience in electrical project execution and safety requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools (scheduling, budgeting, risk).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for delivery.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, and subcontractors for execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and QA to ensure quality and compliance.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to project team throughout lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations and safety.

Are you a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a drive to deliver high-quality engineering projects? MYS ENGINEERING is growing, and we’re looking for a Project Engineer who can take ownership of project execution and ensure successful delivery from planning through completion.

You will support and oversee the end-to-end execution of engineering projects - coordinating technical activities, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Beyond execution, you will play a key role in driving project performance, resolving site challenges, and ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation actions
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance and project quality standards
• Prepare and present project status reports and updates to stakeholders in a timely manner
• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members throughout project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols at all project stages

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in project engineering, preferably in the electrical field
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, regulations, and safety requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with project management tools, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
• Good communication skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel based on project requirements
• Team player with strong work ethics and proactive attitude
