Job summary

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad is seeking a Project Engineer to supervise all construction works on the project site in Malaysia. The role requires implementing project operations and document control, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and work instructions, and coordinating subcontractors for timely execution.

The candidate will monitor daily activities, perform inspections per ITPs, and ensure housekeeping and QESH procedures are followed on site.

To assist Project Engineer to supervise all construction works on the project.

To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH management system.

To comply with legal and other requirements applicable to the organization.

Experience in pilling work and earthwork.

To implement project operations and document control procedures.

To supervise, monitor and control daily work at the project site and adhere to document control procedure.

To coordinate and monitor subcontractor’s activities at project site.

To ensure that all works carried out are in accordance with the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instructions, etc.

To carry out inspections and tests as per Inspection and Test Plans. Results of such to conform to specifications and drawings.

To ensure that workers and subcontractors adhere to good housekeeping.

To implement ESH operational controls documented in the HIRADC / Job Safety & Health Analysis and Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register.

To undertake all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.

To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH Management System.

To comply with legal and other requirements applicable to the organization and projects.

To assist in solving site coordination issues.

To liaise with Inspector of Work (IOW) for inspection related.

Monitoring and checking out of Material received at site to follow standard and follow specification.

Undertake any other functions as directed by the management from time to time.

Core Technical Competencies

Structural & Architectural Reading: Interpret structural drawings, reinforcement details, architectural finishes, and MEP layouts.

Formwork & Concreting: Supervise formwork installation, rebar placement, concrete pouring, and curing processes.

Setting-Out & Leveling: Use surveying tools like total stations, dumpy levels, and laser markers for accurate building alignment.

Finishing Work Quality Control: Inspect architectural finishes including tiling, plastering, painting, drywall installation, and waterproofing.

MEP Coordination: Coordinate basic structural penetrations for electrical conduits, plumbing lines, and HVAC ducting.
