Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer / Senior Site Supervisor to lead site supervisors, draughtsmen, subcontractors and workers in delivering projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in a relevant engineering field and at least 3 years of project supervision experience, with strong knowledge of safety, quality and site coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant Engineering or Construction field.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of site operations, safety and quality requirements.
• Experience leading site supervisors, draughtsmen, subcontractors and direct workers.

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Supervisors, Draughtsmen, subcontractors, and direct workers in delivering assigned projects according to specifications, programme and budget.
• Ensure site works are carried out according to the approved work programme.
• Attend internal and external project site meetings.
• Regularly update the Senior Project Engineer or Site Manager on site progress, inspections, manpower and material status.
• Prepare and execute project submissions including work programmes, progress reports, Project Quality Plans, drawings and quotations.
• Prepare for and conduct inspections of subcontractors' work to confirm compliance with requirements.
• Check materials delivered to site meet specified requirements.
• Ensure site works are carried out safely and in compliance with site rules.
• Maintain records of submission status and site events, including site diaries and photos.
• Prepare site daily reports and submit to Head Office weekly.

The Project Engineer / Senior Site Supervisor leads site supervisors, draughtsmen, subcontractors, and direct workers in delivering assigned projects in accordance with specifications, programme, budget, quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

Lead Site Supervisors, Draughtsmen, subcontractors, and direct workers in managing assigned projects so that the works are completed according to specifications, programme, and budget

Ensure site works are carried out according to the approved work programme

Attend internal and external project site meetings

Regularly update the Senior Project Engineer, Site Manager, or Assistant Site Manager on site progress, inspections, submissions, manpower, and material status

Ensure the preparation and execution of project submissions, including work programmes, progress reports, Project Quality Plans, drawings, material catalogues or samples, memos, inspection forms, confirmations of instruction, and quotations

Prepare for and conduct inspections of subcontractors' work to confirm compliance with specified requirements

Check materials delivered to site to ensure they meet specified requirements

Ensure site works are carried out safely and in compliance with site rules and applicable requirements

Maintain proper records of submission status and site events, including photographic records and site diaries

Prepare site daily reports and submit them to Head Office weekly

Requirement:

Diploma or Certificate in a relevant Engineering or Construction field with extensive experience in site supervision

Minimum 3 years working experience in project engineering

Strong knowledge of site operations, safety, quality requirements, and coordination of workers and subcontractors

Experience leading site supervisors, draughtsmen, sub contractors and direct workers
