Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Supervisor to work with contractors to keep housing or industrial construction on schedule and within safety standards. You will inspect sites, supervise the construction team and subcontractors, and oversee progress and costs while resolving any site issues.

The role requires a Certificate/Diploma in Building, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, plus 2 years of field experience and strong reading of construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Building, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• 2 years of field experience in housing or industrial construction.
• Solid knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to study and read construction drawings.
• Highly organized with ability to plan ahead.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with contractors to ensure construction is on schedule.
• Regularly inspect construction sites to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
• Supervise and instruct the construction team and subcontractors.
• Oversee construction progress in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
• Verify site works, materials, labour and machinery; monitor and supervise.
• Resolve site problems that may arise.

Job Requirements

Certificate / Diploma in Building / Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying.

Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

Able to study and familiar with construction drawings.

Highly organized and able to plan ahead.
