Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to fully manage safety, health and environment at our sites. You will attend client meetings on safety matters and conduct daily safety inspections to ensure compliance with the HSE Plan.

The role requires valid Yellow Book license, DOSH registration, scaffolding certification, and 3 years of industry experience, with travel across Malaysia on short notice. This is a contract position with health insurance and promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

• Engineering field certificate or equivalent required.
• Valid Yellow Book license and DOSH registration.
• Scaffolding certification must be held.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with clients on safety and health matters.
• Carry out day-to-day site safety inspections and supervise works to ensure safety per the HSE Plan.
• Ensure safety policies, manuals, rules and procedures are in place and enforced at all times.
• Provide on-site safety guidance and training to employees and subcontract staff.
• Monitor and control subcontractor safety and health practices.
• Maintain good housekeeping at work sites.

Fully in-charge and manage safety, health and environment at site

• To attend meeting with clients with regards on safety and health matter
• Carry out day-to-day site safety inspection and supervise sites work to ensure that safety aspect is carried out in accordance with the HSE Plan.
• To ensure safety policies, safety manuals, rules and procedures are in place and enforced at any time to ensure that all operations are carried out safely.
• Provide safety guidance and training on site to employees and subcontract staff
• To monitor and control subcontractor’s safety and health practices
• To ensure good housekeeping at work sites

Requirements:

• Possess at least certificates in Engineering field or equivalent
• Valid Yellow book license and registered with DOSH
• Holder scaffolding certificate.
• 3 years’ experience as Site Safety Supervisor in construction industry.
• Computer literate and with fair spoken & written English.
• Knowledge in legal, ESH requirements by law and clients
• Possess own transport and willing to travel frequently to site within Malaysia on short notice.
