Job summary

Victory Builders Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee day-to-day safety at construction sites, ensure PPE usage, and coordinate safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, a Yellow Book, NIOSH competency, and 2 years of experience; willingness to start immediately.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working experience in a building/construction safety role.
• Must be Yellow Book holder (safety supervisor).
• Willing to work at project site.
• Advantage to start immediately.
• Possess Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health qualification.
• Must possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by NIOSH.
• Must be fully conversant with government safety legislation for project sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities within a construction workplace.
• Ensures workers use necessary protective equipment.
• Investigates accidents and addresses their causes.
• Notes and acts on workers' safety concerns.
• Arranges safety training programs for workers.
• Develops emergency procedures with management approval.
• Receives and acts on safety reports from site workers.
• Introduces measures to curb accidents at the workplace.
• Conducts toolbox talks and safety-related training.

Responsibilities

• a) Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace
• b) Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment
• c) Investigates accidents and tackle their causes
• d) Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them
• e) Arranges training programs on safety measures within the workplace
• f) Develops plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace
• g) Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace
• h) Introduces measures that will help curb accidents within the workplace.
• i) Conduct toolbox training and etc. relevant to safety issues

Requirements

• a) Minimum 2 years working experience preferably from a building and construction industry in a similar position.
• b) MUST be yellow book holder (for safety supervisor)
• c) Willing to work at Project Site
• d) Advantage is able to start work immediately
• e) Possess Diploma/Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health qualification.
