Sandar Bina Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Officer to join our civil construction team. You will prepare and report safety-related documentation on site and ensure proper signage and safety boards are maintained.

Based at Setia Alam/Bukit Raja, you will conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards, and coordinate safety programs with workers, clients, and authorities to uphold HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
• Must have YELLOW BOOK.
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in construction field.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
• Be able to communicate and coordinate safety program for workers.
• Be able to work independently.
• Competent to handle Safety matters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

We are a well-established construction company specialised in R&D and sewerage works for township developments. You will be working on projects for acclaimed clients such as SP Setia, Eco World and Sime Darby.

Responsibilities:

To prepare and reports any safety related documentation or reports on site.

Ensure relevant signage are displayed and Safety Performance Board is updated.

Perform daily site inspection in order to ensure contractor compliance to HSE.

Identify, access and control hazards at work site, based on priority and maintain safe operation throughout.

Liaise with clients, consultant, subcontractors and relevant government officials (e.g.: DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, KEMENTERIAN KESIHATION & CIDB) to identify and resolve health, safety and environment issues.

Promote safe conducts of work and practices, ESH training for employees and implement ESH programs at site.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
