Job summary

NOVAMI HOLDINGS SDN BHD is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement safety measures on construction sites and to conduct risk assessments, safety briefings, and inspections. You will ensure subcontractors comply with the Safety Management System and maintain ERP information for timely communication.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Engineering (Environment/Health/Safety) or equivalent, with a valid DOSH Yellow Book, and can plan, organize, and work under pressure in

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Environment/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• Yellow Book holder registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
• Preferably 2-3 years of work experience in the construction industry.
• Possess a positive attitude, the ability to organize, plan, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take pro-active measures to identify hazards, assess the risk, and then implement suitable control measures to eliminate all dangers at site.
• To ensure subcontractors comply with the requirements of the Safety Management System, which outlines their responsibilities and commitments.
• Maintain pertinent information on the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and to ensure the relevant communication information is distributed to the responsible party.
• To conduct daily safety briefings and site safety inspections.
• Liaise with the DOSH, local authority, and other relevant government agencies with regard to health, safety and security matters.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, relevant stakeholders and the public using principles of good customer service.
