Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor in Malaysia to coordinate safety programs, assist the SHO, and identify hazards across sites. You will implement control measures, ensure regulatory compliance, and prepare monthly safety reports while promoting a safety-first culture.

The role requires OSH qualifications (certificate or higher) and Yellow Book certification, with at least 2 years of post-qualification construction safety experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a Certificate, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
• Valid Yellow Book certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of Safety & Health programs across the organization.
• Assist the Site Safety & Health Officer (SHO) by providing guidance and advice on Safety & Health practices at the site.
• Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
• Ensure compliance with all Safety & Health regulations and standards while fostering a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
• Monitor and report on-site Safety & Health performance; develop management plans and event calendars for operational safety activities.
• Attend site meetings, conduct Safety & Health training sessions, toolbox talks, and facilitate monthly safety discussions.
• Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., JKKP, CIDB, Bomba, KKM) to address and resolve site-related issues promptly.
• Prepare and submit monthly Safety & Health reports.
• Assist in investigating incidents, documenting findings, and preparing necessary reports.
