Chec Construction (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to help implement and monitor OSH policies on site. You will supervise daily activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and approved safe work practices.
You will conduct regular site inspections, lead toolbox meetings, and coordinate with the SHO and subcontractors to manage safety risks. A DOSH-registered SSS and a Bachelor's degree in engineering are required.
This role involves assisting in implementing and monitoring the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies, procedures, and site safety requirements. You will monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and approved safe work practices.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions
Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to eliminate or reduce safety risks
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site safety inductions for workers and subcontractors
Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Monitor housekeeping, access routes, scaffolding, machinery, lifting activities, work at height, excavation, and other high-risk activities
Assist in conducting risk assessments and ensure identified control measures are properly implemented
Report and assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences
Maintain and update safety records, inspection checklists, toolbox meeting records, and other relevant safety documentation
Coordinate with the Safety and Health Officer (SHO), project team, contractors, and subcontractors on safety-related matters
Assist in emergency preparedness activities and ensure emergency response procedures are followed
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH/JKKP and possess a valid Yellow Book
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry
Good knowledge of Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health requirements and construction site safety practices
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to conduct site inspections, safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety monitoring effectively
Able to work independently and as part of a project team
Willing to be based at the project site
