Job summary

Merger Insight Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee safety on construction sites and ensure compliance with Malaysian safety regulations. The role requires coordinating with management, safety authorities, and subcontractors to uphold best practices and incident reporting.

The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience and be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and English to communicate with diverse teams and clients.

Qualifications

• At least Site Supervisor level with 3+ years of experience, and Site Agent experience of 10+ years in related field.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and English to liaise with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and enforce safety standards across all site activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CIDB, DOSH and company safety policies.
• Act as primary liaison between site management and safety authorities.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture among workers and subcontractors.

We are an established & dynamic Main Contractor Company registered based in Kepong. Due to rapid expansion programs, we invite suitable aggressive candidates to join our team for the follow vacancy:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and enforce safetr standards across all site activities.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian occupational safety regulations, DOSH requirements , company safety policies and must be register with CIDB Dosh audit relevant
• Act as the primary between site management and safety authorities and compliance
• Promote a strong safety culture among workers , subcontractors and etc requlations.

Safety Monitoring & Enforcement

• Conduct safety meeting with all and etc relevant contractors.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all personnel
• Monitor high-risk activities (lifting, scaffolding, confined spaces, hot works)
• Stop unsafe work immediately and implement corrective measures.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain safety records: incident reports, near-miss logs, toolbox meeting minutes, and safety audit findings.
• Submit weekly/monthly safety reports to project management.
• Maintain updated records of permits, licenses, and certifications related to site safety.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction programs for new workers.
• Educate workers on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Coordination

• Ensure adherence to OSHA, CIDB, and DOSH standards
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors on safety issues.
• Assist in preparing method statements and risk assessments for hazardous activities.
• Liaise with external auditors and government inspectors during site visits.

Emergency Response

• Act as the site's first responder for accidents and emergencies.
• Ensure availability and readiness of first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend preventive measures.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in both spoken & written in Bahasa Malaysia , Mandarin , English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• At least Site Supervisor 3 year and Site Agent 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Applicants must be willing to be designated to any site..(Outstation & Local ) for outstation accommodation would be prourded.
• Willing to work long hours when required.
• Able to commerce work immediately & poses own vehicle would be an added advantage.
