Job summary

Power Shine Star is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee on-site safety on a Batu Kawan construction project. The role requires active daily supervision of safety practices, inspections, PPE compliance, and coordination of safety programs with site personnel.

You will monitor high-risk activities, facilitate PTW and JHA processes, lead toolbox talks, and stop unsafe work when necessary to protect workers and the project. Regular presence on site is essential.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance and punctuality essential.
• Must be regularly on site and actively monitor daily work activities.
• Responsible, disciplined and proactive in identifying safety issues.
• Good communication with workers, supervisors and management.
• Able to work independently and make immediate safety interventions when required.
• Relevant SSS/YB competency and valid registration/certification, where required by the project.
• Construction/site safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all site safety activities and ensure safe working practices are followed
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and safety observations
• Ensure workers comply with PPE requirements, safety procedures and site rules
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting, hot work, electrical work, excavation and machinery operations
• Assist in implementing and monitoring PTW, JHA, Risk Assessment, Method Statement and Toolbox Meetings
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings / safety briefings where required
• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action
• Report safety issues, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions to the Safety Officer / Project Management
• Maintain required safety inspection records, checklists and documentation
• Stop unsafe work when there is an immediate risk to workers or the surrounding area

Job description
