Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee civil construction activities at the Tanjung Malim site. You will liaise with consultants, contractors, authorities, and the PMO to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of site supervision experience; diploma holders with 7 years experience may be considered. Strong planning, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Building or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in construction site supervision.
• Diploma holders with seven years of experience may be considered.
• Experience with Main Building/Civil contractor is an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities and the Project Management Committee to complete work on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor site activities: inspections, measurements and supervision to meet specifications, drawings and programs.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and ensure proper recording.
• Attend audit interviews and project meetings (progress, safety, etc.).
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instructions to all contractors including NSC.
• Assist the HOP in overseeing site organization, management and administration.
• Ensure work procedures follow the project quality plan and ISO requirements.
• Maintain records and office administration.
• Be based at the Tanjung Malim site.
• Undertake other tasks as directed by Management.

Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee on the requirement in order to complete the work on time, cost and high quality.

Monitor site activities such as checking inspection, measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specification, drawings, and programs to achieve target progress and quality.

Prepare daily report and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded.

Attend audit interviews and all projects meeting i.e. progress meeting, safety meeting, and contractors' meetings etc.

Issue and enforce verbal and written instruction to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC).

Assist the HOP in overseeing the site organization, management and administration.

Ensure work procedures are strictly followed in accordance to the project quality plan/ ISO requirements.

Record keeping and office administration.

Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate effectively with main contractor and subcontractors.

Well verse in construction works sequencing especially in Main Building and Infra works.

Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering / Building or any equivalent discipline.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.

Possess good skill in planning and supervision.

Independence and able to meet deadlines.

Candidate with Diploma in Civil Engineering with seven (7) years of experience and above can be considered.

Candidate with working experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor has added advantage.

Able to work under stress and tight timeline.

Good team player and communication skills.

Willing to be based at Tanjung Malim site.
