We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer to join our team. This position will be based in Pitas/Nabawan area of Sabah. As Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the technical and operational aspects of construction projects on site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is executed in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This position is essential to the successful delivery of our projects and directly impacts project timelines, quality outcomes, and site safety performance.
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site to ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements
Monitor and inspect construction work, materials, and equipment to maintain quality standards and identify any defects or non-conformances
Prepare and maintain detailed site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and documentation of construction activities
Liaise between the project management team and on-site workers to communicate technical requirements and design changes
Conduct site inspections and testing of materials and structural elements to verify adherence to engineering standards
Manage site logistics, including the coordination of material deliveries, equipment placement, and workforce scheduling
Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, proposing practical solutions to minimise project delays
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and site safety protocols
Prepare variation orders and technical reports as required by the project
Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
DEGREE in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline
Minimum 3-5 years of practical site engineering experience on construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building practices relevant to civil and structural engineering
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices in construction
Proficiency in site documentation, measurement, and quality control procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions under pressure
Familiarity with construction project management software is advantageous
Willingness to work on-site in a remote location and adapt to field conditions
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the project area
