Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a site engineer to plan, supervise, and monitor daily construction activities at a Johor/Muar project site. You will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to resolve technical issues and ensure the work aligns with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

The role requires 2–5 years of building/infrastructure experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/MS Project/BIM, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in building or infrastructure construction.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and site coordination practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical and engineering documents.
• Skilled in AutoCAD, MS Project, or related project management and BIM software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in data centre or high-specification projects is an advantage.
• Willing to work flexible hours based on project needs.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet business and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and monitor daily site construction activities to ensure progress aligns with project schedule, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to resolve technical or design issues.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents for accurate implementation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and workmanship standards.
• Monitor and control site resources including labour, materials, and machinery to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, inspection forms, RFIs, and progress documentation.
• Support project planning and scheduling updates; assist in preparing meeting minutes and progress reports.
• Manage defect rectification and documentation during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities (e.g. electrical, HVAC, fire protection, BMS).
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide practical technical solutions in a timely manner.
