Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Site Engineer in Malaysia to provide technical and engineering support for construction activities. You will ensure site works align with drawings, specifications and approved programmes while coordinating between project teams, consultants, subcontractors and site staff.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, the ability to work independently or in a team, and a readiness to travel if needed. Proficiency in CAD and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience in building construction and Design & Build projects.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel if required.
• Familiar with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, construction plans and method statements.
• Coordinate technical matters between project team, consultants, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Submit sample materials and calibration certificates for approval.
• Ensure project operations and document control procedures are followed.
• Record QA/QC data and ensure quality management procedures are used.
• Assist Project Manager/Construction Manager as needed.

Job description

To provide technical and engineering support for construction activities and to ensure that site works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, applicable standards and the approved construction programme. The Site Engineer shall coordinate technical matters between the project team, consultants, subcontractors and site personnel, and ensure that construction issues are identified, resolved and properly recorded.

Key responsibilities

Ensure that all works carried out are in accordance with drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, method statements etc.

Ensure that inspection and tests are carried out as per inspection and Test Plans and that all quality control mechanisms are being used

Submit sample materials and calibration certificates to relevant consultants for approval

Ensure that project operations and document control procedures are adhered to

Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the quality management system

Perform other engineering and site-coordination duties reasonably assigned by the Project Manager/Construction Manager

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized university, with relevant experience in building construction and Design & Build projects

Ability to work well independently as well as in a team

Willingness to travel if required

Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and CAD is a plus

Must be independent and self-motivated
