Job summary

CEEC JSPDI (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on site, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specs, quality and safety standards, and project schedules.

You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and the project team to ensure timely execution. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or related degree and experience in site supervision; fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Relevant experience in construction/site supervision is preferred.
• Fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and site practices.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant construction software is an advantage.
• Willing to work on construction sites and accommodate project requirements.
• Possession of a valid driving licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues on site.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate site measurements, quantities, and material requirements.
• Monitor materials delivered to site and ensure they meet project specifications.
• Assist with preparation and submission of RFI, inspection requests, method statements, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Monitor subcontractors’ performance and workmanship.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress, technical issues, and outstanding works.
• Liaise with authorities and relevant parties when required.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and controlling project activities.
• Perform other duties related to the project as assigned by management.
