The Site Coordinator acts as the crucial bridge between project management, the on-site installation team, and the office administration. This role is responsible for ensuring that all site preparations, material logistics, and documentation are perfectly aligned so that rainwater system installations and related projects are executed smoothly, on schedule, and to exact specifications.
Conduct pre-installation site visits to measure physical dimensions and verify that site conditions align with schematic drawings.
Assess site readiness and clear any physical or logistical roadblocks before deploying the installation team.
Report any site discrepancies or potential hazards to management immediately.
Follow up closely on overall project progression and coordinate with main contractors or clients on site.
Plan, manage, and update the daily/weekly schedule for the site installation team to ensure maximum productivity and adherence to project deadlines.
Act as the primary point of contact on-site to resolve any immediate installation issues.
Collaborate closely with the installation team and the office administrator to forecast material requirements accurately.
Ensure the timely ordering and delivery of pipes, materials, and other necessary hardware to the site, preventing project delays.
Monitor on-site material inventory and minimize wastage.
Prepare, compile, and submit all necessary documentation required by the main contractor, client, or relevant authorities for approval before site work commences.
Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental), Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in site coordination, preferably within the plumbing, drainage, or specialized installation sectors in Malaysia.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, isometric drawings, and layouts.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to forecast materials and manage tight schedules.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for tracking) and basic drafting software (AutoCAD) is highly advantageous.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with on-site workers, office admins, and external clients.
