Job summary

China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn Bhd (Project Site Operations) in Kapar, Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee daily site construction activities for a major national rail infrastructure project. You will coordinate with the main contractor and consultants to ensure roads, bridges, and alignment works meet schedule and budget while complying with technical specs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–4 years of solid site experience in heavy civil infrastructure.
• Experience on roadworks, bridge construction, or major earthworks/railway alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and civil drawings.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu; Mandarin an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site civil works including roads, bridges, foundations.
• Monitor progress against master schedule; coordinate with subcontractors.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions on site.
• Coordinate interface with main contractor engineering and supervision teams.
• Participate in joint site inspections and handovers with contractors.
• Review drawings and ensure work aligns with approved drawings.
• Coordinate material tracking for concrete and reinforcement.
• Maintain daily site diaries, logs, and progress photos.
• Support QAQC to prepare for RFIs and site readiness.
