Job summary

KLOTZ International in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Shipping Officer to coordinate daily shipments of finished furniture to overseas customers, prepare documents, and liaise with freight forwarders and warehouse teams.

The role requires a Diploma in Logistics or related field, familiarity with export documents, and strong Excel/Word skills; you will work across production, sales, and customer service to ensure on-time delivery and accurate shipments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• Preferably with experience in shipping, logistics, or export operations, especially in the furniture manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with export documentation and freight forwarding procedures will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet shipment deadlines.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and arrange daily shipments of finished furniture products to overseas customers.
• Prepare shipping documents including delivery orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other export-related documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, transporters, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
• Monitor shipment schedules and delivery status to meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with production, warehouse, sales, and customer service departments to ensure goods are ready for shipment according to schedule.
• Ensure the quantity, product details, packaging, and shipping documents are accurate before dispatch.
• Handle export documentation and coordinate customs clearance when required.
• Maintain proper records of shipments, delivery schedules, and shipping expenses.
• Follow up on shipment delays, delivery issues, and other logistics-related matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
