Job summary

Kin Yat Industrial (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced logistics officer to manage import/export documentation, coordinate with customs, forwarders and government agencies.

You will handle e-permit applications, ship schedule tracking and ensure timely invoicing with warehouse and production teams. The role requires a Diploma or higher in a related field with 2–3 years in shipping and customs clearance, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and attention to detail under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in shipping & customs clearance.
• Experience in KASTAM prioritized.
• Strong command of English & Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all import/export documentation: invoice, packing list, BL, CO, K1/K2/K9, etc.
• Coordinate with customs, port authorities, forwarders, and government agencies (MITI, SIRIM, CIDB).
• Manage e-permit applications and ensure compliance with customs regulations & procedures.
• Liaise with the warehouse and production team to close Job Orders for invoicing.
• Monitor shipping schedules, track shipments, and handle delays or clearance issues.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and internal use.
• Support cost control for freight, duties, and related shipping charges.
• Ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers or between branches.
• Handle customer inquiries related to shipment/delivery timelines.

Coordinate with customs, port authorities, forwarders, and relevant government agencies (MITI, SIRIM, CIDB, etc.).

Manage e-permit applications and ensure compliance with customs regulations & procedures.

Liaise with the warehouse and production team to ensure Job Orders are closed timely for invoicing.

Monitor shipping schedules, track shipments, and handle any delays or clearance issues.

Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and internal use.

Support in cost control for freight, duties, and related shipping charges.

Ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers or between branches.

Handle customer inquiries related to shipment/delivery timelines.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in shipping & customs clearance.
• Experience in KASTAM are prioritise.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS Code, MITI, e-Permit, JKDM system.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments at once.
• Good communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and good in problem-solving.
