Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Procurement Leader to command the Shared Services Procurement function, ensuring cost-effective, compliant and timely support across the organization. You will oversee procurement operations, supplier management, sourcing activities and process improvements aligned with policy and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7–10 years of procurement or supply chain experience with supervisory exposure.
• Strong sourcing, supplier management, negotiation and procurement operations experience.
• Experience managing services for multiple departments/sites/business units preferred.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good understanding of procurement policies, internal controls and commercial practices.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as Oracle or SAP preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities including sourcing, quotation, purchase requisitions, POs, and supplier coordination.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and support supplier performance management.
• Lead sourcing and negotiation activities to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, approvals, and internal controls.
• Monitor spend, savings, purchasing trends and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, IT, and other functions to support procurement needs.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate purchases and improve purchasing efficiency.
• Standardize procurement processes and promote best practices across locations.
• Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives within procurement.
• Resolve procurement, supplier, pricing, delivery and invoice issues with stakeholders.
• Develop and coach team members to improve capability and service delivery.
• Prepare procurement reports and recommendations for management.
• Support audits and maintain procurement documentation.

• Experience managing procurement services for multiple departments, sites, or business units is preferred.
