Job summary

CLSA in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Settlements Officer to support daily securities, equity, derivatives and new futures settlements. You will ensure accuracy, manage trade confirmations, matching, and settlements, while delivering high-quality service to internal and external clients.

You will work with Compliance and Risk to adhere to regulatory requirements, assist with KYC reviews, and support onboarding. Strong Excel skills and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills with an ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Possesses good logical thinking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily routine tasks for all securities, equity, derivatives and new future products.
• Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers within the Operations scope.
• Support post-execution processes for equities transactions of foreign and domestic institutional investor-clients, including trade allocation and booking, trade confirmation, trade matching, settlement of both clients and market trades and trade reporting.
• Ensure smooth client account onboarding process, including KYC and periodic reviews.
• Perform and monitor daily settlement on regulator's clearing system and CLSA back office system.
• Adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures by working closely with Compliance and Risk management team.
• Monitor and update all new market data and client information.
• Comply with CLSA group policy to avoid any unexpected risks.
