Job summary

Crown Equipment Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) is seeking a dedicated Service Technician for field-site work focused on diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of forklift and material handling equipment. You will ensure reliability and safety for clients with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or SKM, with a track record in maintenance and repair. Driver’s license required; proficiency in Bahasa and basic English is preferred.

Qualifications

• SPM, Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Possess good electrical/mechanical aptitude or knowledge in machinery equipment.
• Experience in maintenance repair and overhaul is advantageous.
• Good communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Complete jobs assigned for the day.
• Maintain an accurate daily record of hours worked vs hours paid.
• Complete all necessary Job Reports and PM Inspection Reports.
• Complete PM services per the relevant truck procedure within standard times.
• Maintain tools and equipment to company standards.
• Report any breakages or loss of tools to service management.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on forklifts.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain detailed service activity and parts records.
• Stay current with safety standards and technical advancements.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate repairs to clients.
• Participate in training to enhance technical skills.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of a variety of forklift, reach truck, pallet truck, other material handling equipment, ensuring reliability and safety for our clients.

Your expertise will be instrumental in troubleshooting technical issues, performing scheduled maintenance, and executing repairs in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with our service team and other technicians to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure equipment performance meets industry standards.

• Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

• Stay current with industry standards, safety protocols, and technical advancements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of equipment.

SPM, Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field SKM, etc.

Possess good electrical/mechanical aptitude or knowledge in machinery equipment is preferred.

Experience in maintenance repair and overhaul in automotive engine will be an added advantage.

Good communication skills and committed to work.

Open to all Malaysian diploma or vocational certificate graduates from IPTA/IPTS.

Proven experience as a forklift / service technician or mechanic in a similar industry.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Have valid driving license: B2, D, GDL (Advantage)

Good in Bahasa and got basic command in English (both verbal and written).

Team player with initiative and a positive attitude towards learning.
