EP Forklift Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer in Shah Alam, Selangor to join our field team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment, and providing on-site service to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, diesel/petrol engines, and power transmission components.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 3 years experience in mechanical engineering, equipment maintenance, or forklift servicing
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines and power transmission in forklifts
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery
• Safety regulations and best practices in industrial equipment maintenance

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on forklifts and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults and root causes, implementing solutions
• Perform repairs and component replacement on hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions
• Maintain service records for all maintenance and repair work
• Respond to service calls and provide on-site repairs to minimise downtime
• Carry out preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan

EP Forklift Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join our growing team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our fleet of forklifts and material handling equipment. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role is essential to our operations, directly impacting our reputation for reliability and service excellence in the mechanical engineering and equipment support sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements
• Diagnose mechanical faults and malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical expertise, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions
• Perform repairs and component replacement on hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and other mechanical assemblies
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all maintenance and repair work completed on equipment
• Respond promptly to service calls and breakdowns, providing rapid troubleshooting and on-site repairs to minimise customer downtime
• Carry out preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and reduce unexpected failures
• Liaise with customers to understand their equipment concerns and provide clear explanations of repair work and recommendations
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, company standards, and manufacturer specifications
• Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and communicate findings to management

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• At least 3 years experience in mechanical engineering, equipment maintenance, or forklift/material handling equipment servicing
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel and petrol engines, and mechanical power transmission systems of forklifts.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery
• Sound understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial equipment maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as required
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate service records
• Preferred: Previous experience in forklift or material handling equipment servicing, or relevant industry certifications
