Job summary

Dwisolar Sdn Bhd is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, testing and defect rectification for DLP projects and CMS contracts in Malaysia. You will support the CMS team, ensure safety, quality, and timely service delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications include a technical diploma in electrical, electronic, mechanical, instrumentation or fire protection, with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Fire Protection or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of working experience in service, maintenance, testing, commissioning or troubleshooting works.
• Experience in fire protection systems, M&E services, construction, industrial facilities, data centre, oil and gas or general industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance works for fire protection, fire detection and life safety systems under DLP and maintenance contracts.
• Attend corrective maintenance, breakdown, troubleshooting and defect rectification works as instructed by the Service Engineer or Lead Service Engineer.
• Support DLP inspection and defect closure activities for completed projects, including data centre, general industry, commercial, infrastructure and other CMS-related projects.
• Perform inspection, testing and servicing of systems including Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting Pump, Sprinkler, Hydrant, Hose Reel, Gas Suppression, Foam System, Firemen Intercom, Clean Agent / Special Hazard System and related fire protection equipment.
• Ensure all service works are carried out according to approved maintenance checklist, manufacturer recommendation, client requirement and applicable standards.
• Assist the Service Engineer in recording findings, fault conditions, defects, spare part requirements and corrective actions during service visits.
• Prepare and submit service reports, checklist, photos and work completion records accurately and within the required timeline.
• Support emergency call-out and urgent site attendance when required.
• Maintain professional conduct and good communication with clients, facility teams, consultants and other site representatives.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues, repeated defects, safety concerns or customer complaints to the Service Engineer immediately.

Job description

The Service Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, testing and defect rectification works for Dwisolar's Defect Liability Period (DLP) projects and General Industry service maintenance contracts. The role supports the CMS team in ensuring all service activities are completed safely, professionally and within the agreed service level, while maintaining good customer relationships and protecting Dwisolar's reputation as a reliable fire protection and life safety service provider.

Key responsibilities

Carry out preventive maintenance works for fire protection, fire detection and life safety systems under DLP and maintenance contracts

Attend corrective maintenance, breakdown, troubleshooting and defect rectification works as instructed by the Service Engineer or Lead Service Engineer

Support DLP inspection and defect closure activities for completed projects, including data centre, general industry, commercial, infrastructure and other CMS-related projects

About you

Certificate, Diploma or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Fire Protection or related discipline

Minimum 1 to 3 years of working experience in service, maintenance, testing, commissioning or troubleshooting works

Experience in fire protection systems, M&E services, construction, industrial facilities, data centre, oil and gas or general industry is preferred

Able to read basic drawings, schematic diagrams, equipment manuals and maintenance checklists

Basic troubleshooting knowledge for fire alarm, pump, sprinkler, hydrant, gas suppression and related fire protection systems

Able to prepare basic service reports, checklists and site photos

Good communication skills and able to deal professionally with clients and site representatives

Able to work under pressure, attend urgent breakdowns and support emergency call-out when required

Must be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia. Basic English communication is an added advantage

Possess valid driving licence and willing to travel to project or maintenance sites as required

Additional Requirements

1. Willing to be assigned to DLP projects and General Industry service maintenance contracts.

2. Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays or standby duty when required by project or contract needs.

3. Must comply with company policy, client site requirements, safety rules and CMS operating procedures.
