Job summary

Digi Supplies in Malacca City is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service laundry equipment. You will inspect, repair, and maintain washing machines, dryers, and related systems to ensure smooth daily operations and high service quality.

Requirements include a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Experience repairing self-service laundry machines is an advantage.
• Knowledge of operating electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Valid driving license; GDL preferred.
• Immediate start when possible.
• English, Bahasa Melayu, and Chinese language proficiency to liaise with suppliers.

• Technical Troubleshooting: identify issues and resolve promptly.
• Laundry Service Monitoring: ensure quality and cleanliness standards and address customer complaints.
• Work Schedule Coordinator: organize maintenance schedules to meet deadlines without affecting operations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Laundry Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and ensuring that all laundry equipment is functioning properly, including washing machines, dryers, and other equipment used in laundry operations.

2. Repair and Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of laundry equipment and carry out immediate repairs in the event of breakdowns or technical issues to ensure smooth daily operations.

3. Preventive Maintenance: Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all laundry equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns and extend the lifespan of the equipment.

4. Resource and Spare Parts Management: Manage the use of materials and spare parts for laundry equipment, and ensure that materials and other products are used properly and safely in accordance with established guidelines.

5. Safety Inspection: Ensure that all machines and equipment comply with the required safety standards and implement safety measures to protect employees and customers.

6. Technical Troubleshooting: Responsible for identifying technical issues related to laundry operations and finding appropriate solutions to resolve them promptly.

7. Laundry Service Monitoring: Ensure that all laundry services meet the required quality and cleanliness standards, and respond to any customer complaints regarding laundry services.

Work Schedule Coordinator: Organize and coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed within the specified timeframe without affecting daily operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

2. At least 1–2 years of experience in the maintenance of mechanical or electrical equipment, particularly laundry machines or industrial equipment.

3. Skills in repairing and maintaining self-service laundry machines and related equipment will be an advantage.

4. Knowledge of operating electrical and mechanical equipment.

5. Able to work with minimal supervision and possess good technical troubleshooting skills.

6. Must possess a valid driving license. Candidates with a GDL (Goods Driving License) will be given preference.

7. Able to start work immediately.

8. Language proficiency in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking suppliers).

Working Days

• Sunday to Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Off Day: Monday or Wednesday
• Vehicle: Provided by the company
