Job summary

JSTN (Malaysia) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Service Engineer to handle equipment move-in, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of company equipment within automated manufacturing systems.

You will document activities and provide training to operators. The role requires a technical degree in mechanical automation, mechatronics, or electrical automation, hands-on PLC/HMI experience, and willingness to travel to China for short-term training.

Qualifications

• College or technical university degree in mechanical automation, mechatronics, or electrical automation.
• Working knowledge in PLC, HMI, electro-pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and electrical wiring preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in fully or semi-automated manufacturing plants preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in production environment preferred.
• Team oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job description

Service Engineer responsible for equipment move-in, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of company equipment. The role involves working with automated manufacturing systems, conducting equipment commissioning, maintaining detailed records, troubleshooting equipment faults, and providing training to other employees and operators.

Key Responsibilities

Complete equipment move-in, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance under the guidance of SOP and installation video

Conduct commissioning in strict accordance with commissioning manual requirements and maintain complete relevant data files

Establish complete equipment debugging and maintenance file records on the PM system

Handle faults found in the debugging process and report unsolvable problems to the supervisor in a timely manner

Provide timely feedback on product quality problems found during commissioning and conduct problem investigation to prevent recurrence

Understand product manufacturing process, identify process deviation problems, and take corrective measures or escal...

Diagnose and troubleshoot routine or minor equipment problems

Provide training for other employees and operators and update training manuals when necessary

Job Requirements

College or preferably technical university degree in mechanical automation, mechatronics, or electrical automation

Working knowledge in PLC, HMI, electro-pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and electrical wiring preferred

Minimum 2 years of work experience in fully or semi-automated manufacturing plant preferred

Minimum 3 years of working experience in production environment preferred

Team oriented with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both written and verbal

Experience in participating in small and middle-sized project management preferred

Bilingual in Chinese and English preferred

Willing to travel and accept short-term professional training at China headquarters
