Job summary

Canon Medical Systems Malaysia is seeking a proactive Biomedical/Electrical & Electronics graduate to join our field service team in Penang. You will install, commission, service and upgrade a wide range of medical equipment, ensuring quality control and fast response to breakdowns.

The role requires the ability to read diagrams, work independently, and collaborate with engineers. Strong training will be provided locally and overseas, with opportunities for career growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to understand manual/block diagram/circuit diagram and explain to other engineers.
• Ability to work independently with integrity.
• Team player with good organization, interpersonal and communication skills, especially for installation.
• Ability to perform and understand Radiation Equipment Quality Control test procedure.
• Initiative to learn new model or new product.
• Sense of urgency for system breakdown and ability to make suggestions and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, perform routine preventive maintenance and upgrade of equipment according to procedures.
• Field testing and troubleshooting of medical systems.
• Provide customer relations and ensure satisfaction on repairs and servicing.
• Provide training, quality and responsive technical support, perform standby duties, identify causes of breakdown and undertake maintenance.
• Maintain proper records of service-related information for job, management and planning.
• Be a team leader in equipment installation.
• Assist in delivery of equipment sold.
• Ensure proper installation of test equipment and spare parts and keep them in good condition.
• Plan FMI before due date and plan PPM before month end.

Job Description:

• Responsible for installing, commissioning, routine preventive maintenance and upgrading of total range of company equipment according to the checklist and procedures.
• Responsible for field testing and troubleshooting of medical systems handled by the company.
• To provide customer relations and ensure that customer satisfaction on all repairs and servicing activities.
• To provide training, quality and responsive technical support to customers, perform standby duties, identify causes of equipment breakdown and undertake routine or performance linked maintenance.
• Maintaining proper records of all relevant service-related information necessary for the job, management and general planning.
• To be one of the team leaders in equipment installation.
• To assist in delivery of equipment sold.
• Responsible for the proper installation of the company's test equipment, equipment and spare parts, maintaining these items in clean and perfect condition.
• Responsible in planning and execution of FMI before due date.
• Responsible in planning and execution of PPM before month end.
