Job summary
Flex in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Test Engineering Manager / Assistant Manager to lead evaluation, testing strategies, and implementation across products. You will advise the test engineering team on projects, coordinate with other engineering functions, and ensure programs meet schedule and budget.
The role focuses on directing testing activities, developing or using software and hardware test methods, and mentoring technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years in Test Engineering including functional, burn-in, and automated testing in high-technology electronics or related industry.
- Knowledge of hardware and software test development and test automation is preferred.
- Familiarity with NPI test setup and ATE development is preferred.
- Experience in automation or API development for test process improvement is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Directs and/or coordinates testing activities for electronic devices, software, or systems.
- Defines test conditions, sequences, and phases of tests.
- Interprets test data and prepares technical reports for engineering and management.
- Develops or uses software and hardware to conduct tests on products and systems.
- Trains floor staff, technicians, and operators on test hardware/software and problem-solving.
