Advantest in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Field Service professional to provide onsite support for handling and probing, with a focus on thermal issues and reliability improvements.

You will work with GSEC and R&D, contributing to product improvements, NPI evaluation, and knowledge transfer to field engineers and customers. Willingness to travel domestically and overseas and extended hours when needed are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant field with 4 to 6 years of working experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication for internal/external customers support and R&D collaboration.

• Provide effective technical consultation and onsite support for handling/probing and thermal issues.
• Consolidate and monitor failure trend and review data with GSEC and R&D for product improvement.
• NPI evaluation support and evaluation preparation and execution.
• Compile data analysis and conclusions with R&D.
• Suggest solution improvements and collaborate with R&D to enhance solution reliability and robustness for production deployment.
• Quality and Safety: handle product safety tracking, RFI, FCO, ANZEN; ensure training for field service team and customers.

Description du poste

• Provide effective technical consultation and onsite support for handling/ probing and thermal issues.
• Consolidate and monitor failure trend and proactively review data and discussion with GSEC and R&D for product (handler/ prober) improvement.
• NPI evaluation support
• Evaluation preparation and execution as planned.
• Compiling data analysis and conclusion review with R&D.
• Suggest solution improvement ideas and collaborate with R&D to continue enhancing solution reliability and robustness (throughput, stability, thermal & etc) for production deployment.
• Quality and Safety
• Handle product safety tracking follows up and management. RFI, FCO, ANZEN.
• Ensure product safety (handler/ prober and customer products) with proper operation training conducted for field service team and customers.
• Knowledge Transfer
• Conduct technical/ knowledge transfer to field service engineers and customers to operate, maintain, troubleshoot the handler/ prober.
• Conduct workshops and optimization know-how to field service engineer and customers and “train the trainer” program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master-degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant field with 4 to 6 years of working experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry.
• Experiences in semiconductor package handling/ probing, thermal technologies and automation system.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Global mindset and industrial knowledge to support the regional teams and collaborate with global teams.
• Excellent communication for internal/ external customers support, technical sharing and R&D collaboration.
• Short notice business trip travel, domestic and oversea.
• Extended working hours & weekend/ holiday support for critical project or escalation support demands.
