Job summary

Mercury Industries Berhad in Malacca is seeking a capable Civil/Building Site Supervisor with at least five years of experience to oversee residential construction projects. You will coordinate with contractors, monitor site activities, ensure compliance with drawings, timelines, and safety standards.

The role involves preparing daily and weekly reports, attending progress and safety meetings, issuing instructions to contractors, and ensuring ISO procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of construction site supervision experience.
• Ability to plan and supervise; meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities to meet timelines, budget and quality.
• Monitor and supervise site activities, inspections, measurements and assessments.
• Assist during CCC inspection by authorities.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports; ensure correct recording.
• Attend audits and project meetings (progress, safety, contractors).
• Issue instructions to contractors, enforce procedures and ISO compliance.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, relevant authorities and Project Management Committee to ensure the work is completed within specified timeline, budget and quality standards.
• Monitor and supervise all site activities including inspection, measurement, and assessment, ensuring that works align with project specifications, drawings and timeline.
• Assist during CCC inspection by relevant authorities.
• Manage and oversee the defects rectification work upon vacant possession.
• Prepare daily report and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded.
• Attend audit interviews and all projects meeting i.e. progress meeting, safety meeting, and contractors meetings etc.
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instruction to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC).
• Ensure work procedures are strictly followed in accordance to the ISO requirements.
• Record keeping and office administration.
• Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Building or any equivalent discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in construction and residential site supervision.
• Possess good skill in planning and supervision.
• Independence and able to meet deadlines.
