Job summary

Mercury Industries Berhad is seeking an experienced Architectural Supervisor to interpret architectural specifications and supervise on-site works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

You will coordinate with structural, M&E and other trades, review subcontracted works, maintain quality documentation, and liaise with consultants and clients. Diploma/Bachelor in Architecture with 5+ years in high-rise projects is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree In Architecture with at least 5 years' experience in high rise project or similar role/capacity of work
• Excellent technical skill, knowledge of AUTOCAD / BIM will be an added advantage
• Understand the specification, drawing, scope and sequence of works
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Independent, proactive, able to work under pressure to meet target dates

Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural specifications and drawings accurately and identify any discrepancies for clarification.
• Execute, supervise and monitor architectural works on site to ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, M&E, and other trades to ensure smooth site progress.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding architectural drawings, technical issues, and site matters.
• Plan, review, and supervise subcontracted works including mobilization plans, manpower allocation, and resource adequacy.
• Maintain & upkeep quality documents i.e material submissions, method statements, and sample boards for approval.
• Propose alternative architectural construction method to improve constructability and cost efficiency where necessary.
• Monitor and report variation orders related to architectural works, including providing supporting documentation to the Project Manager (PM) and QS Department.
• Conduct regular inspections before-during-after architectural works carried out by subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with ISO procedures and company policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior/HOD from time to time.

Authorities:

Liaise with Local Authority officers during Authority site visits.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

Diploma / Bachelor Degree In Architecture with at least 5 years' experience in high rise project or similar role/capacity of work
